In today’s environment, an identity system must have the ability to adapt to changing markets, new media and multiple social attitudes, and still retain a strong image over time. We advocate a ‘kit of parts’ approach; in addition to the essential logotype and symbol, an identity system can include: a distinctive color palette, a monogram, tag lines, mascots and other elements that contribute to flexibility and creativity.
Most of our work includes integrating identity systems into the built environment. In addition to translating logotypes into creative signs, we have developed identity and color programs for transit vehicles; designed uniforms that utilize colors and elements that supplement the identity program; and integrated identity elements into the interior and exterior design of buildings.
