Scope
Identity, Signage, Exhibitry, Graphics & Amenities Summary
The image of the rose, a symbol of the city of Portland, serves as the organizing visual element for this mixed-use project that includes a 145,000 s.f. retail pavilion directly connected to a Saks Fifth Avenue department store and a 15-story office tower. Sussman/Prejza designed a program incorporating various interpretations of the rose and its history into signs, directories, and surface graphics. Creation of special amenities for the project included the design of a spectacular rose petal sculpture/ fountain/ exhibit piece soaring almost 30 feet in an atrium space.
